Condensate & Primary Pro Maintenance Coat 250ml
Condensate & Primary Pro Maintenance Coat 250ml
The Primary Pro Maintenance Coat is designed to help maintain the protective outer finish of Primary Pro external heat pump pipe insulation, ensuring long-term durability and a professional appearance.
Once Primary Pro insulation has been installed and sealed correctly, it should be inspected and maintained throughout the lifetime of the air source heat pump installation. The good news is that maintenance is simple and typically forms part of the routine annual service.
During the annual heat pump service, the engineer should check that the insulation and seals continue to protect the pipework from moisture ingress, UV exposure and weather conditions.
If any signs of wear or discolouration are visible, a fresh coat of Primary Pro Maintenance Coat can be applied to restore the protective finish.
Many professional installers also choose to apply a maintenance coat immediately after installation to remove any surface marks or brick dust and provide a smooth, consistent finish across the insulated pipework.

Updated Recoating Guidance
Based on over 8 years of ongoing life testing, our maintenance guidance has been updated to recommend recoating “as and when needed.”
Testing has shown that some installations, particularly those not exposed to direct south-facing sunlight, may not require recoating within the first five years.
For this reason, we recommend inspecting the insulation during the annual heat pump service and applying a maintenance coat only if signs of wear or discolouration are visible.
